How to Play Krillion
The daily dive
Krillion is a free daily game at krillion.io. Every day brings seven open-ended prompts, and everyone in the world gets the same seven. You answer each one trying to think of something valid but rare: the fewer other players who said your answer, the more points it earns and the deeper you dive. The dive resets at midnight US Eastern time.
Scoring and rarity tiers
Each accepted answer lands in a rarity tier, and the tiers follow the dive down: plankton (10 points, the obvious answers everyone gives), schooler (30), rare (60), deepcut (85), and finally krillion (100 points — the one-in-a-krillion answer almost nobody finds). Deeper tier, deeper dive.
- Invalid answers don't count. The game checks each answer against the prompt — a country without the right letter is simply rejected.
- Obscure ≠ automatically rare. A wrong spelling or an answer nobody can verify won't help; it has to be valid first.
- Seven prompts, one shot each. Think before you lock in — or check your answer's score in our answer checker first.
How to score deeper
- Skip the first answer that comes to mind — everyone else is thinking it too.
- Go specific: not "Denmark" but "Djibouti", when both are valid.
- Browse today's verified answers to see which directions are already crowded (low scores) and where the rare picks hide.
- Missed a day? The official archive and unlimited mode let you practice past dives.
